The Lord has never commanded or suggested that we celebrate his birth by chopping down a tree and decorating it with lights and weird trinkets. Not only that, but we should have nothing to do with Santa, reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and other pagan distractions. If we lie to our children about the existence of Santa, later in life it may cause them to doubt in the savior.<br /><br />Finally, if we give gifts at all, they should be to the poor, not to each other.
